I received an invitation to attend the “most unforgettable photo in 2013” event. This engagement session was shot at the coldest and most windy day in LA. The highest temperature was 59 F at that day, and wind speed was up to 46 mph. Kelly and John were both brave and cooperative to get this work done perfectly. Even I got cold after back home, all the efforts were paid back when I saw these images on my screen.
We spent four hours together for J and J’s engagement photos on March 16th, 2013.
Union Station was still my favorite location with fantastic lighting. Bradbury building was no longer open to commercial photographer unless you pay a big amount of permit fee, so we took couple shots in front of the door. Disney concert hall was great to shoot as usual, especially with colorful cloth. Weather was not that good at Santa Monica Beach, cloudy and cold. I tried to let them workout to get warm, and it works. J and J were very patient to us when we tried the light painting one. Such a nice couple!
We ended up at the gambling game machine with 8 letter pointed, which was their lucky number since their wedding were planned at Jun 8th.
I just read Susan and Moose’s love story today from their wedding website. They met each other in high school 2002. The friendship and relationship gratually built up between them in these 11 years. Now, I could feel the tremendous love and happiness when I was editting their photos.
Canot wait to shoot their wedding on Mar 3rd, 9 days from now.
