My due day supposed to be July 25th, so we didn’t prepared for water broken at the morning of July 12th, and contractions got stronger and stronger when I laid on sofa. I started to bleed around 9 pm. My mom already went to bed. We left a message to her and drove to the hospital. Labor and Delivery department accepted me immediately. That was 11 pm of July 12th.
The whole labor process took me 32 hours which I could never imagine. Thanks for the epidural, I could sleep couple hours to save energy for pushing. My nurse kept checking me the whole night, adding different types of medicine. Finally, at 7 am of July 14th, Bastille Day of 2015, my son Nolan arrived to this world.
All the photos were taken by my husband but marked by my studio logo. My nurse tried to take the photos such as dad cutting the cord, dad and mom with baby etc, but seems she didn’t know how to use DSLR, both of them were out of focus. So there is no dad’s photo here. Still thanks a lot for her hard work, but this makes me think seriously about the importance of hiring a professional photographer in the labor room.
I was introduced to Jamie’s parents by Yaoyao who knew me for years. Jamie was a one month old tiny little baby girl, delicate and feminine, totally different from my son, haha. We worked about 2 hours and got some quite nice portraits for her. Happy one month old, Jamie!
